Our Values

We will nurture your children as if they are our own, according to four key values...

Individuality

We believe every child is unique, developing in their own way and at their own speed. We will encourage this individuality through creative activities in a nurturing environment.

Kindness

This is key to everything we do at Kensal House Nursery. All children will learn the importance of sharing, respecting one another and being a good team player.

Independence

Learning to be independent is a big step that we help our children to make. From putting on their own shoes to tidying up after themselves, we will help them be confident and capable little people.

Fun

We want every day at Kensal House Nursery to be joyful. So we put a strong emphasis on sensory play, messy activities, arts and crafts, music and having a fabulous time! There will also be sessions in the nursery garden and trips to local parks and playgrounds to ensure the children get fresh air and exercise throughout each day.

The Curriculum

At Kensal House Nursery, we teach a unique education programme that takes the best ideas and approaches from a range of early years teaching practices.

With input from education experts and parents, our programme provides exceptional care, support and structure for all, while also being adaptable to suit the individual needs of each child.

Our programme is built on the Early Years Foundation Stage ensuring that your child experiences a rich curriculum across seven key areas of learning.

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development

  • Communication and Language

  • Physical Development

  • Literacy

  • Mathematics

  • Understanding the World

  • Expressive Arts and Design

Parents have a key role to play and will be encouraged to give us feedback so we can continue to develop, tweak and improve our programme.
